The process is being run through the Crown Commercial Service. The brief is open to agencies on the government’s creative roster.
As well as work around changes to the pension age, the appointed shop will handle additional activity as part of the two-year contract.
In March, the DWP appointed MullenLowe London to promote Universal Credit, the new working-age benefit.
In October last year, the DWP launched a campaign created by Engine promoting the rules around workplace pensions.
The DWP declined to comment.
