Greensted joins Euro RSCG as client expert

Steve Greensted, the former managing director of Woollams Moira

Gaskin O’Malley, has quit his role as board account director at Osprey

Park to join Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper as an executive director.

At Euro RSCG, Greensted will oversee the Cadbury, Philips, and Reckitt

and Colman businesses. He has 14 years’ experience with Cadbury, having

worked most closely with the client at Leo Burnett and GGT.

Brett Gosper, the chief executive of Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, said: ’After

a successful 1996, we wanted someone of Steve’s rare calibre to help

provide our clients with outstanding service and leadership.’

Greensted fills the gap left by the recent departure of Steve Wheatley,

a client group director who no longer works at the agency following a

’mutual agreement’ with senior management.

When WMGO went into receivership in August 1995, Greensted and ten of

his staff moved to work at the Osprey Group. WMGO’s shaky fortunes

plummeted that year, after it lost the One-2-One account to Bartle Bogle

Hegarty, and its plans to sell out to Griffin Bacall were ruined when

Gerry Moira, the creative director of WMGO, jumped ship to join Publicis

as the executive creative director.

Before joining WMGO in October 1994, Greensted worked at GGT and then

Lowe Howard-Spink, where he was an account director.

in charge of Littlewoods, Smirnoff and Reebok. He joined Lowes in

January 1990, having left GGT a year before following a management

reshuffle.

1 Why creative people have lost their way

What better way to kick off Campaign's relaunch than with another think piece on the current failings of our industry, written by an embittered, pretentious creative who misses "the way things used to be"...
