Steve Greensted, the former managing director of Woollams Moira
Gaskin O’Malley, has quit his role as board account director at Osprey
Park to join Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper as an executive director.
At Euro RSCG, Greensted will oversee the Cadbury, Philips, and Reckitt
and Colman businesses. He has 14 years’ experience with Cadbury, having
worked most closely with the client at Leo Burnett and GGT.
Brett Gosper, the chief executive of Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, said: ’After
a successful 1996, we wanted someone of Steve’s rare calibre to help
provide our clients with outstanding service and leadership.’
Greensted fills the gap left by the recent departure of Steve Wheatley,
a client group director who no longer works at the agency following a
’mutual agreement’ with senior management.
When WMGO went into receivership in August 1995, Greensted and ten of
his staff moved to work at the Osprey Group. WMGO’s shaky fortunes
plummeted that year, after it lost the One-2-One account to Bartle Bogle
Hegarty, and its plans to sell out to Griffin Bacall were ruined when
Gerry Moira, the creative director of WMGO, jumped ship to join Publicis
as the executive creative director.
Before joining WMGO in October 1994, Greensted worked at GGT and then
Lowe Howard-Spink, where he was an account director.
