Griffin Bacal lands pounds 2.5m UK Moulinex work without pitch

Griffin Bacal has won the pounds 2.5 million UK account for Moulinex Swan Holdings from BMP Countrywide without taking part in a competitive pitch.

Moulinex Swan Holdings from BMP Countrywide without taking part in a

competitive pitch.



Although the final details of the new campaign have yet to be confirmed,

it will run above the line and is expected to be aimed at housewives.

Moulinex has suffered from a lack of high-profile branding since its 70s

campaign featuring the line: ’Moulinex makes things simple.’



The company spent only pounds 700,000 last year on advertising for the

Moulinex and Swan brands, after suffering losses of pounds 30 million

for the 1994-95 period.



Griffin Bacal will be involved in both UK and international campaigns

and is set to work with Moulinex’s lead agency, DDB Paris. Media in the

UK remains with BMP Countrywide.



Glen Fraser, Griffin Bacal’s business development director, said: ’This
