- Following the success of the Ashes 97 and West Indies 98 Websites, the Guardian and its partner in these ventures, Wisden, are expanding their online cricket service to cover the South African and Sri Lankan tours of England this summer, as well as the county scene.

The new site, located at http://cricket98.co.uk, will feature live reports of all the Tests and one day internationals against Sri Lanka, as well as the most authoritative analysis from Wisden and the Guardian's team of cricket writers.

As well as familiar features such as Phil Tufnell's exclusive reports, Cricket 98 features a comprehensive database of Wisden's Test records plus new Web-only columns by The Guardian's cricket correspondent, David Hopps, and Simon Briggs, assistant editor of Wisden Cricket Monthly.

The desktop pop-up scoreboard will be continuously updated to ensure that no-one misses a ball. Plus the day's play can be debated on the bulletin board.
