GUS picks agencies to pitch for internet retail brand Reality

Great Universal Stores has drawn up a shortlist of agencies to

pitch for Reality, its internet and logistics arm.

The company is already in talks with Interbrand about a new identity and

branding.

It is unclear how much the account will be worth.

Reality was formed when GUS was reorganised to split its shopping and

mail-order arm, including Argos, from its information database.

Employing 20,000 people, it provides business-to-business outsourcing

solutions for bricks and mortar as well as internet and WAP fulfilment

and shopping services. It is thought the campaign will target consumers

rather than businesses.

No-one from GUS was available for comment.
