Summary of the year so far: "2014 has been about people, people, people. Without happy, engaged and energised staff none of the below would be possible.
Nowhere can this be felt more keenly than in new business. Wins include Mastercard, Microsoft, DWP, Pizza Hut, Wickes and Piaggio.
Many of these are the fruit of our collaboration with Dentsu Aegis Network stable-mates such as iProspect, Isobar and D2D. Our single P&L allows us to quickly draw on expertise and experience from anywhere in the building or network.
Our focus on people has been particularly prevalent in driving talent strategy; hiring and retaining. We held two Discover Media Days, inviting 15 year olds into the agency to experience media first-hand, hear talks from Adidas and Facebook and answer a working brief.
We were included in the Sunday Times Top 100 companies (2nd year running) and grabbed a Silver Investors in People accreditation due to initiatives like Phone Hotel, where staff can leave their phone while on holiday. Our theatre group the Carat Players put on their 4th sell-out show.
There were also senior management promotions; Matthew Hook became Managing Director, Dan Hagen became Chief Strategy Officer; Matt Landeman, Head of Client Services and Matthew Knight, Head of Innovation."
