Half Term Reports 2014: Lucky Generals

Campaign asked the ad and media industry to rate and summarise their performance so far in 2014, ahead of our School Reports for 2015. Here's how Lucky Generals view the first six months of their year.

Summary of the year so far: "This is our first full year. We’ve won a load of new business, hired lots of great people and moved into a shiny new office. But we always said we wanted to be judged on the work. So what have we actually done in 2014?

Well, we’ve "Shaved the rainforest" for Paddy Power – prompting people to send us death threats and wish we had chlamydia (then suggest we should be knighted).

We’ve launched a 4 minute film for Kahlúa, starring Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges.

We’ve made the most talked-about party political broadcast in years, causing the Daily Mail to acuse us of Class Warfare and one blogger to say it was "the best thing Labour’s ever done" (although we suspect the NHS might just shade it).

On top of this, we’ve called Farage and Clegg "Mass Debators", tormented David Moyes with a statue and got Morph to Go Commando for Male Cancer Awareness. We’ve also made music videos with Dirty Vegas, done fashion shoots with Rankin and created satirical Easter Eggs with…um chocolate.

So in summary, 2014 has been lots of fun so far (apart from our brushes with death, chlamydia and the Daily Mail). And there’s much more to come.
