Harris left the agency earlier this month. He does not have a job to go to, although he is thought to be considering pursuing other interests, including some non-executive directorships. He will not be replaced directly.
Instead, the agency is expected to hire a chief financial officer.
Harris joined Evans Hunt Scott in 1990 as its financial director and took the agency through receivership before becoming its chief executive in 1993. During the 90s, Harris and the then managing director Jon Ingall were credited with restoring the agency's fortunes to the extent that it was named Campaign's Digital Agency of the Year in 1998.
Harris oversaw Evans Hunt Scott's merger with the digital agency Real Time in 2000 - the first deal of its kind in the UK DM sector. He then managed its merger with Brann in 2001, creating an agency with 400 staff and turnover of more than £70 million.
