Adspend in Britain declined by 6 per cent in the first quarter of 2002 to £3,397 million compared with the corresponding period last year, according to new figures prepared for the Advertising Association. The Quarterly Survey of Advertising Expenditure also showed commercial radio accounted for 6.7 per cent of display advertising in the January to March period. This is up from 6.1 per cent in the equivalent period of 2001.
