Hotline: Global Radio cuts its losses

Global Radio, the UK's largest commercial radio group, cut its losses to £31 million in the year to the end of March 2010, down from £277 million in the previous year, according to accounts set to be published by Companies House.

Commercial revenues at the group were £180.6 million, up 0.6 per cent year on year. The £277 million losses in the previous year were partly due to a £193.5 million write-off.
