Hotline: Interpublic restructures global operations

Interpublic's Mediabrands division has restructured its global operations to create three regional "clusters". Its media agencies, Initiative and UM, will now operate in divisions covering North America, "the G14" and "world markets". As a result, Jim Hytner, the president of UM in the EMEA region, and Eric Bader from Initiative have been promoted to head the G14 regions, which include major European countries and Japan, Australia, Brazil, Russia, India and China.
