HOTLINE: The IPA renews its warning to agencies

The IPA has renewed its warning to agencies about using celebrities to endorse products without their consent. It follows the Court of Appeal's decision to raise the damages awarded to the racing driver Eddie Irvine in his case against talkSPORT Radio from £2,000 to £25,000. The company used a doctored picture of Irvine in a campaign promoting itself to potential advertisers.
