HOTLINE: News in brief

The Financial Times has promoted its head of UK agency sales,

Charlie Brookes, to the position of head of UK display sales. Brookes

replaces Claire Payne, who moved to become commercial director of FT.com

in May. He will take responsibility for sales across all newspaper

products as well as FT.com, but will not inherit Payne's additional

title of deputy ad director.
