Unofficial circulation figures for last weekend show newspaper

sales surging as football fans gorged on reports of England's 5-1 win

over Germany. The Mail on Sunday, which also featured a Victoria Beckham

book extract, topped 260,000 sales, while the News of the World and

Monday's Sun and The Mirror are expected to show a 5 per cent rise. The

Observer posted sales of more than 500,000.
