RTL Group has increased its headline 2002 half-yearly revenue figures by 5.1 per cent despite the current state of the advertising market, according to its interim report. Revenue was 2,102 million euros while the reported net result was 12 million euros. RTL attributed its growth to an increase in non-advertising revenue including the worldwide success of Pop Idol, which is produced by Fremantle Media.
