iMediapoint angles for press clients as Associated signs up

Associated Newspapers has become the latest media owner and first national newspaper group to sign up with iMediapoint.

Associated Newspapers has become the latest media owner and first

national newspaper group to sign up with iMediapoint.

Mike Ironside, managing director of The Mail on Sunday, said: ’This is

about increasing the breadth and quality of our offering to clients and

agencies.’

iMediapoint offers media owners an online introduction point, enabling

clients to advertise their products to planners and buyers.

The company launched last December and has already signed up inventory

from Granada, GMTV, Flextech, Carlton Digital, TDI and Taxi Media.

Andy Troullides, managing director of iMediapoint, said now that many

commercial broadcasters are using the site, the publishing module is

being developed.

Troullides, who was formerly joint managing director of MediaCom, is ’in

discussion with every conceivable publisher’. He is confident ’there

will be further announcements over the next few weeks’ naming more

publishers that have come on board.

He is pleased with the response the site has received in the media

industry, especially from the TV buying sector. Troullides believes the

site is attractive to media owners and agencies because it ’helps

catalyse deals and saves time and energy’.

iMediapoint’s profile has been raised significantly in the past few

weeks by the hiring of Ivan Clark, Troullides’ former colleague at

MediaCom, as media director (Media Business, 8 May).
