INTERACTIVE: Eurovision Song Contest

It was the result everybody was talking about. A landslide. This country’s finest hour for nearly two decades came on 3 May, when the nation emerged from three hours of TV viewing to hail Katrina and the Waves’ victory over the rest of Europe.

Congratulations also to RTE Online, who created this site to complement

the night’s proceedings. Sadsters can listen to every mind-numbing song,

peruse every set of puerile lyrics and even relive those zany videos,

though these are just a collection of stills.

The site doesn’t actually let you watch streaming video, you have to

download it instead. I couldn’t resist opting for San Francisco by Tor

Endresen. After viewing the offending item, my computer displayed its

first signs of artificial intelligence by asking me the question, ’Do

you want to delete ’Norway’?’ Do I?
