INTERACTIVE: Labour Election ’97

Well, they won it in the Shires and they most certainly walked it on the Web. Clean, basic design (though rather slow) with some useful interactive features. I now know that my local MP, Ken ’Lizard’ Livingstone, was ’previously an animal technician at the Royal Marsden Hospital and is vice-president of the Council of the Zoological Society of London’. I would have voted for him anyway, but this may just have tipped the balance for animal-lovers.

The site reflects the feel of New Labour but I’d appreciate it if its

content was changed to update me on the whirlwind of policy

announcements that have followed its election. (I’d also like to be able

to play over and over again that moment at around 3am when Michael

Portillo discovered humility.) But perhaps this Government is moving too

fast for the Web.

Or am I a cyber-sceptic?
