INTERNATIONAL: International Gallery; Nike Wieden and Kennedy

Nike enlists the help of the author and UFO expert, Erich von Daniken, and the Formula 1 racing driver, Michael Schumacher, for its latest campaign in Germany. Von DŠniken explains that 2,000 years ago, the Mayas predicted a higher human being would come to earth. He then suggests this is none other than Schumacher, since Schumacher’s name translates into the German word for visitor. A love of ball sports makes him obsessed by spheres. But the strongest evidence is found on his feet, where the Nike cross-training shoes he wears are soled with air bubbles. ‘Decide for yourself, is it just speculation?’ asks the UFO expert. ‘Or is he too good to be human?’

1 Why creative people have lost their way
