broadcast platform set to launch in late spring.

Commercial activities, which will be headed by ex-Loaded publisher

Adrian Pettett, will focus on developing e-commerce partnerships with

consumer music brands and retailers.

Switch2’s owner, Edison Interactive Broadcast, has experience of similar

partnerships with sports retailers through its Kitbag.com site.

Pettett, who becomes publishing director, moves to Switch2 with Loaded

editor Tim Southwell, who will become editorial director. Both quit

Loaded last week.

Targeting 15- to 35-year-olds, Switch2 will provide access to offbeat

entertainment and music. Subscribers can personalise the service, which

will be organised into five branded channels - music, film, comedy,

sport and games. The service claims to be Europe’s first internet

broadcasting network, combining the best of TV, radio, music and the

internet.

Directors include ex-Coopers & Lybrand consultant David Wardlaw and the

former managing director of KLP/EuroRSCG’s music division Paul

Morrison.

Ex-Sky magazine publisher and More editor Tony Cross joins as

Southwell’s deputy.
