IPC Connect builds Chat brand with one-off lottery title

IPC Connect, the women’s weekly magazine division, has unveiled a 60-page one-off dedicated lottery title as an extension of its Chat brand.

60-page one-off dedicated lottery title as an extension of its Chat

brand.



Chat’s Lottery Special, which hits the newsstands this week, is the

latest spin-off in the Chat Passion series of one-off supplements. It is

being billed as ’Britain’s first dedicated lottery magazine.’



The extensions are designed to increase reader loyalty and to raise the

profile of the Chat brand. IPC Connect’s publishing director Sandy Gale

said: ’This title is part of our strategy to extend our brands and to

build a strong relationship with our readers beyond their weekly read.

We are confident it will be well received by readers and advertisers

alike.’



Advertisers in the title include Franklin Mint, Jif and Chartsearch, a

club for competition enthusiasts.



The magazine, which will be displayed next to Chat on the newsstands,

will be supported by advertisements in the parent title.



Chat’s Lottery Special has a cover price of pounds 1.15 and features

’true-life stories on the winners, the losers and the scandal’

associated with the national lottery.
