IPC Magazines is to launch 17 titles over the next four months in

an unprecedented expansion drive.

Many of the titles will be either tests or one-off specials as the

publisher looks to broaden its portfolio. It is entering the health

sector with the launch of Family Health under its Woman brand in the

late summer, and 40+ Health under the umbrella of Woman’s Realm. It is

expanding its celebrity portfolio under the Now brand, with Celebrity

Cooking Now and a magazine called Beautiful People.

Under the Woman’s Weekly brand it is launching Best Entertaining, while

Family Circle is producing 150 Summer Recipes. Woman’s Weekly is

releasing its first Christmas special in October.

Loaded will unveil a pilot fashion special in the autumn, which is

likely to clash with Emap Metro’s bi-annual launch, FHM Fashion.

Within its Country and Leisure group, IPC is launching Jets and Digital

Photography as well as Country Life Gardens, a pilot for an upmarket

gardening title, which went on sale this week.

IPC is also to release summer specials for five of its weeklies, Woman’s

Realm, Woman’s Weekly, Chat, Woman and Woman’s Own.
