- ITN has launched a service to deliver news to a children's website.
The service will aim to write news for children, including serious issues coupled with more humorous stories.
The news service will be managed by Emily Moore, former Guardian education journalist and author of several children's books. She will write the news under the pseudonym Sniff the ITN newshound.
The news will be delivered to the missdorothy.com website, which uses a nine-year old girl, Dot Com, to guide children and families through the site.
Young readers are encouraged to become news correspondents by emailing their own stories in from around the world.
Sharon Doughty, the site's founder, commented: "We aim to make the news service interesting and informative, without being patronising."
