Jeremy Garner leaves Modem to join Wheel

Jeremy Garner, the vice-president of creative at Modem Media and co-founder of glue London, has joined Wheel as its creative director.

Garner, who will start at Wheel on 24 April, will take responsibility for running the agency's 20-strong creative department alongside Lydon Hale. Hale was promoted to the executive creative director role in March.

The new pair replace former executive creative director, Chris Clarke, who was poached by Modem to be its European executive creative director in February. (Campaign, 24 February).

Garner has worked at Modem Media since 2003 on accounts including Unilever, General Motors, Allianz and NatWest. His work has been awarded at D&AD, Cannes, The One Show, Clio, Epica and London International. In 2005, he produced the "interviews from hell" viral for the headhunter Kendall Tarrant, which picked up 35 awards worldwide.

After stints as an above-the-line copywriter at BBDO and Euro RSCG in Hong Kong, Garner became Modem Media London's first copywriter in 1998.

In 1999, he left to found glue London with Mark Cridge.

A year later, he set up BloodPartnership, after glue was merged into Deepgroup. BloodPartnership was sub-sequently sold to Chime Communications.
