Jim Beam Brands searches for global agency

Jim Beam last month parted company with its agency of record, Fallon McElligott, which had held the account for ten years. Globally the account is estimated to be worth $15 million (£9 million).

The announcement comes after the completion of a comprehensive multinational research project conducted on behalf of Jim Beam Brands by Roper Starch Worldwide.

A short list of potential agencies will be invited to present in the next month and a decision is expected early in 1999.

In addition to Jim Beam bourbon, the creative and media needs for other brands are also being reviewed: Knob Creek Bourbon and The Small Batch Bourbon Collection; DeKuyper cordials; and the recently acquired wine brands, Geyser Peak and Barwang.
