John Lewis Christmas ad picks up Music Lions shortlist spot for Vaults tune

The John Lewis campaign "Buster the boxer" has scored one of four nominations for Universal Music in the Entertainment Lions for Music category at Cannes.

The spot is soundtracked by a version of the song One Day I’ll Fly Away by Vaults, which appears on the band’s debut album, Caught In Still Life.

Universal also picked up two nominations for work for Air New Zealand, and one for Danish home entertainment provider Yousee.

There were four other nominations from the UK: one each from Saatchi & Saatchi London, J Walter Thompson London, Emoticast and Great Guns.

The US has 28 entries on the shortlist of 75, with 22 companies represented.

The Entertainment for Music Lions awards is part of Cannes Lions Entertainment, the strand of the festival for the entertainment industry.
