John Lewis and M&S, Boots and Tesco: watch all of the week's Christmas ads

It has been a busy week for Christmas ads, with seasonal efforts from brands including John Lewis, Boots, Marks & Spencer and Lidl unveiled to the public. Here we bring them all together in one handy guide to Xmas advertising.

Marks & Spencer

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, David Gandy and Helena Bonham-Carter recreate scenes from Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin and The Wizard of Oz in a two-minute spot that revives the retailer’s "Magic & Sparkle" strapline.

John Lewis

A bear and a hare that have never been able to spend Christmas together because the bear always hibernates are the stars of this epic Watership Down-esque film.

In an upbeat ad Ant and Dec are serenaded by a dancing gingerbread man to the sound of 'Be Our Guest' from Disney’s 'Beauty and The Beast', alongside animated elf-sized versions of Morrisons’ M Kitchen chefs.

Stereotypes of a hoodie are subverted as a teenager takes on the role of a modern day Santa Clause by secretly giving presents to the shopkeeper who gave him his first job, the nurse who looked after his gran and the girl he fancies.

Waitrose once again focuses on its charity commitments for its Christmas marketing, with an ad that focuses on "the story of giving something back" as part of its Community Matters scheme that has donated over £14m to local causes.

A young couple are reunited at an ice rink in an ad themed around "wishes made fabulous" with a re-recorded version of Foxes' track "Youth".

The Co-Operative

Relaxation is the theme of The Co-op’s Christmas effort, with a creative that is in stark contrast to last year’s ads by Morrisons and Asda featuring stressed mums struggling to organise Christmas.

TK Maxx

The looks on people’s faces the moment they open a present from loved ones is the focal point of a one-minute film that aims to communicate the "real and genuine" emotions of gift-giving.

Comedian Harry Enfield voices Lidl's first ever Christmas TV ad that features a table over-burdened with food including reindeer steak and whole, cooked lobster.

Tesco has gone down the well-trodden route of showing a family through the ages, this time using a series of clips which look as though they have been filmed using the home video technology of the time. All to the dulcet tones of Rod Stewart and his 1988 hit 'Forever Young'.

In its first ever Christmas ad for the over-arching brand Cadbury communicates the joy kids experience at Christmas with a film showing children unwrapping their entire street.
