Jonathan Rigby

BBC Children in Need

Director of marketing and fundraising

After what he describes as "five great years" at Manchester United, Rigby swapped Wayne Rooney for Pudsey Bear in September. He sums up his year as "the end of a great chapter in my career and the start of an altogether different opportunity, but one that will be immensely fulfilling".The adman-turned-marketer aims to develop the "unique organisation" through digital, entertainment and storytelling, while engaging corporate sponsors and individual fundraisers. One thing that hasn’t changed much for Rigby, however, is his commute: his new base at Salford’s Media City is just a few hundred metres from Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground.
