The recently formed direct marketing agency, Jones Mason Barton
Antenen, has appointed a senior creative team.
The agency, a joint venture between BMP DDB and Claydon Heeley
International, has poached the copywriter, James Rose, and the art
director, Archie Powell, from Barraclough Hall Woolston Gray.
The pair, who have worked mainly within the Ogilvy stable for the past
two years, only joined Barraclough Hall four months ago where they
worked on the successful BT renumbering pitch.
The team started at the agency this week and will report to the agency’s
creative director, Simon Antenen.
Antenen, the ex-creative director of BBH Unlimited - formerly known as
Limbo - has already brought in Rod Marsh from Rapier to be head of
’This is our first proper hiring,’ Antenen said. ’We’ve been searching
for what I would call good middleweights with the right attitude for a
while, and they showed that they had it. They’ve also got a book with
big ideas that can go across a number of disciplines.’
Both Powell and Rose were at OgilvyOne and then moved to Ogilvy & Mather
where they worked on the Bradford & Bingley and IBM accounts.
