Jones Mason takes on Cunnane

its launch period, including Chris Cunnane, a founding director of

Publicis Dialog.



Cunnane, who will join on 1 April, left Dialog in January after

’creative differences’ with Fred Kuys, the agency’s managing

director.



He will spend the first year of his tenure at Jones Mason working on

existing clients and new business. He will then branch out into

consultancy work.



’There were lots of opportunities in the database area after I left

Dialog, but I got on really well with the partners at Jones Mason,’

Cunnane said.



’Nigel Jones is a very distinguished above-the-line planner who has come

in to direct marketing with his eyes wide open. The combination of

grown-up creative planning and harnessing data hasn’t been done well

before.’



Before Dialog, Cunnane was the database director of Grey Direct, having

spent two years at Osprey.



He previously ran his own database consultancy.



Nigel Jones, the former BMP DDB planning director who set up the company

in January as a joint venture between BMP and its sister Omnicom shop,

Claydon Heeley, said: ’We wanted someone who was technically brilliant

but could also speak the same language as the rest of the staff and

clients. We think we have found just that in Chris.’



Also joining Jones Mason are Steve Cooper, an account director who set

up the Manchester office of Marketing Drive; the account managers,

Claire Nicholls from DP&A, Pru Caldwell-McGee from Carlson and CACI’s

Andrew Locke; and the production project manager, Diana Langley, from

Colleagues Direct.
