Kensington Publications, the reference and guidebook specialist, is

looking to take on at least 30 sales staff as it gears up for a move

into new media.

Following its recent merger with S&W Publications, Kensington now

employs 64 ad sales staff selling across 59 titles. These include The

Commonwealth Ministers Reference Book, The MCC Cricket Yearbook and

Looking Good, a women’s beauty title distributed to National Approved

Salons hairdressers.

George Constantinou, sales director, said: ’Because a lot of our titles

only come out once or twice a year, we have decided that cover-mounted

CD-roms, with links to websites, will allow our readers to access much

more up-to-date information.

’This obviously means a lot more space for ad sales, and we’re looking

to recruit at least 30 sales people over the next couple of months.’

Kensington is owned by IIR, the world’s largest conference organisation.
