Kitcatt's role at Lion marks his return to not-for-profit sector

Paul Kitcatt, the former executive creative director at Bates' 141

division, is joining the ethical and social marketing agency Lion as the

executive creative director.

The move follows the launch earlier this year of Kitcatt & Co, an agency

backed by The Burnett Associates Group, which also owns Lion. Kitcatt &

Co will continue to operate in the same building as Lion with Kitcatt

splitting his time across the whole group.

Kitcatt left 141 last year with its chief executive, Jeremy Shaw, after

141 bought the sales promotion agency Communicator and merged its

operations.

Shaw is now the chairman of Burnett Associates Group, Kitcatt & Co and

Lion.

The appointment of Kitcatt is designed to boost Lion's creative

reputation.

It works on domestic and international campaigns for clients including

the Red Cross.

Before Bates and Kitcatt & Co, Kitcatt was the managing director of

Brann London. He said: "Lion is a great agency with some really talented

and creative people. I gained a lot of experience in the not-for-profit

sector in my Brann days and look forward to being part of a team that

sets the agenda for creativity in fundraising and ethical customer

relationship management."
