Sylvester Stallone’s ad for Warburtons has emerged victorious over Arnold Schwarzenegger’s effort for in a Campaign readers poll.

The Warburton’s ad, created by WCRS, won with 58.7 per cent of the vote as the ad, created by VCCP, trailed with 41.3 per cent.

Campaign opened the voting at the beginning of this week (13 April) and closed last night (16 April), with 937 votes registered from 20 countries.

Schwarzenegger and Stallone share the screen in movies such as Escape Plan and The Expendables – but throughout the 1980s and 90s the pair battled for supremacy as Hollywood’s greatest action hero.

The actors even ribbed each other in their movies. In Twins, Schwarzenegger’s character passes a poster of Stallone and walks away chuckling after deciding his biceps are far more impressive.

In Demolition Man Stallone’s character scoffs when told Schwarzenegger became the American president.
