Leagas Delaney nets £25m Skoda brief

Skoda has appointed Leagas Delaney as the main international agency on its estimated £25 million European advertising account.

The agency will create lead work for forthcoming Skoda vehicle launches and the campaigns will run in the UK and Europe. However, the appointment does not affect Fallon in London, which holds the UK business.

The win enables Leagas Delaney to open an agency in Prague in November. The office will also work for Skoda in the Czech market. The network has offices in London, Hamburg, Milan and Rome.

Leagas Delaney Hamburg has worked on the Skoda Superb on an international basis since 2001, as well as Skoda Germany since 2002.

Maraal Farreras, Skoda's international marketing director, said: "The launch of the Octavia Scout and the new Skoda Fabia are major developments for the brand and therefore outstanding creative is vital for our brand. I appreciate the creative work Leagas Delaney has produced and I am looking forward to a productive partnership."
