Harrods has kicked off its autumn campaign with a press and poster

blitz promoting its menswear and womenswear collections.

The ads, which will run in glossy magazines and newspaper supplements

from this month, were created by Leagas Delaney and aim to emphasise the

quality of Harrods’ merchandise with striking art direction.

The first execution, shot in black and white, features the names of

leading women’s clothes designers beneath chocolates in the style of a

selection box guide. The strapline reads: ’The Harrods luxury

collection. Only in the international designer rooms.’

In the second ad, a series of hitchhikers line the road, but they are

all the same model. Only the cards they hold are different, each

featuring the name of a menswear designer. The headline reads: ’The

world’s finest menswear designers are on the lower ground floor. Do

anything you can to get there.’

The ads were written by Mark Dickens and art directed by Tiger Savage.
