Levi's, Stella and Nike set to dominate D&AD

TV ads for Stella Artois, Reebok, Levi Strauss, Nike and Volkswagen are set to dominate this year's D&AD awards, with press and poster ads from Club 18-30 and Nike also featuring heavily.

Lowe's "doctor

ad for Stella Artois, directed by Ivan Zacharias through Stink, and its "sofa

TV spot for Reebok, directed by Frank Budgen at Gorgeous, are both shortlisted for best television and cinema ad and best direction.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty's "twist

ad for Levi's, directed by Frank Budgen, and BMP DDB's "demon baby

film for Volkswagen, directed by Frederik Bond at Harry Nash, also join the list of nominations for the awards, with Wieden & Kennedy USA's Nike spots "freestyle", "tag

and "shade runner".

Levi's current campaign "Odyssey", directed by Jonathan Glazer through Academy, is also nominated for best direction.

"Twist

and "demon baby

were nominated for best use of music, "doctor" has also been nominated for the best cinematography award, and "sofa" could win an award for best model-making.

The Wieden & Kennedy London "Run London

campaign could clinch the agency an award for the best use of mixed media. Saatchi & Saatchi's "bar", "beach

and "pool

Club 18-30 work is up against Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO's "missing piece

for The Economist and Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/ Y&R's Land Rover "hippos

in the poster category. All three Club 18-30 executions have also been nominated for best art direction, best press campaign and best image manipulation. BBH's campaign for Barnardo's is also nominated for this category.

The radio awards will be dominated by further executions for Budweiser from DDB Chicago: "Mr Horsedrawn Carriage Driver", "Mr Professional Figure Skater

and "Mr Camoflage Suit Maker". Mother's "face off

spot for Super Noodles is also in the list for best TV and cinema ad, and the agency is also nominated for its reward card and Christmas wrapping paper promotional tools.
