Between the Lines: Burnett's standing suffers

Two of Leo Burnett's global clients have called reviews this week (pages 3 and 5). Both Nintendo and Beck's are strong international brands that no network can afford to lose, so some serious questions need to be asked in Burnett's Chicago headquarters.

The network's global standing, although not bad, is lacking polish as some of its fitter rivals from Omnicom and WPP forge ahead, stealing the new-business limelight.

Success at Cannes next week could go some way to improve the network's standing on the global stage.
