Lowe appoints first president for Asia-Pacific

- Lowe & Partners Worldwide has appointed Roland Yue to the newly-created position of president, Asia Pacific.

For Yue, the appointment marks a return to advertising after eight years away from the industry. Yue will take up his new post in January and will be based in Hong Kong. He will oversee Lowe's operations in India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

Yue's most recent job in advertising was as managing partner of Ball/SCRS, which he left in 1991. Yue began his career in advertising in 1976, when he joined the Ted Bates as an account manager in Hong Kong. He moved on to become an associate director at the agency before leaving to set up Synergie Communications in 1983. Synergie, a successful Hong Kong agency, was acquired by Ball/SCRS in 1988.
