Lowes will take a minority stake in the shop, which will be called Lowe Hunt & Partners. Hunt left The Campaign Palace, the Australian agency he co-founded in 1972. He was recently voted top creative of all time by readers of the Australian trade magazine Ad News.

Frank Lowe, chairman and founder of The Lowe Group, said: "I first met Lionel when I visited Australia in the late 1970s. At that time The Campaign Palace was not only the best agency in Australia but one of the best agencies anywhere. I have followed its progress ever since and remain in touch with Lionel. I hope and believe that our new venture will be a great success."
