MSc, the media planning joint venture between Partners BDDH and New

PHD, has chosen Louise Jones as its founding managing director.

Jones, who has 12 years experience in the business, much of it on

telecommunications accounts, is a media strategy business partner at

Michaelides & Bednash.

She will join MSc by the beginning of March.

’She is clever, energetic and enthusiastic, with a hands-on and

open-minded approach to problem solving,’ Nigel Long, the managing

director of BDDH, explained.

At M&B, Jones runs the flagship pounds 50 million Cable & Wireless

account, currently the subject of a media review (see front page). She

was made a partner only five months ago, and has been at the media

planning agency for four years.

Before that, she worked at Still Price Lintas and Yershon Media, which

later folded into Carat.

Jonathan Durden, a partner at New PHD, said that Jones was chosen to

head MSc because of her experience, energy and her ’great way’ of

working with creative people.

MSc was founded late last year during a review of the media arrangements

for BDDH’s prestigious Mercedes account and has already secured the

business of Mercedes, the Co-operative Wholesale Society and Wesleyan

Financial Services.
