M&C Saatchi and Carat appointed by hotel group

- The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed M&C Saatchi and Carat to handle its creative and media accounts following an extensive pitch process initially involving six Hong Kong based international agencies.

- The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed M&C Saatchi and Carat to handle its creative and media accounts following an extensive pitch process initially involving six Hong Kong based international agencies.

M&C Saatchi will be responsible for the worldwide advertising campaign of each of the hotel group's 13 properties, as well as the group's other promotional requirements.

The appointment is effective as of 1 October and a new campaign is due to be rolled out in early 1999. Neither billings nor the names of the competing agencies were disclosed.
