Specialist press ad sales house Madison Bell is to hit the

recruitment trail after a string of new client wins.

The London agency is set to recruit up to three new sales staff in the

next three months. The move follows contracts to handle business for

magazines from the RSPCA, Cambridge University and the French publisher

Freeway.

Group account manager Tom Glenister said he would need to add to the

seven-strong team as there were more accounts in the offing.

Madison Bell was formed in 1984 and handles sales for the DC Thomson

comics group, publisher of The Beano and The Dandy, and BEAP, which

publishes titles such as Puzzler and Wordsearch.

Other clients include the English Tourist Board and the RNLI.

Last year the company set up a new-media division, Orange 20, which has

three sales people and handles clients such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to

the Galaxy site and Circuit, the student web site.

’We will be looking for sales executives with a minimum of one year’s

experience,’ said Glenister.
