Maher Bird picks up pounds 10m account for online insurer

Maher Bird Associates has scooped the pounds 10 million task of launching Inspop.com, an online insurance company offering consumers free on-the-spot price comparisons.

launching Inspop.com, an online insurance company offering consumers

free on-the-spot price comparisons.



The agency pitched against a number of undisclosed agencies for the

business.



The site launches at the beginning of April and offers price comparisons

for motor, home, medical and travel insurance from leading brand

names.



It aims to reduce the time it takes to compare products and get a

quote.



’We are committing a significant spend to the launch because we are

aiming to reach 98 per cent of consumers nationally. Consumers normally

have to make five to ten phone calls to get insurance quotes. This will

revolutionise the market and enable people to go to a single site and

get all the quotes they need,’ Sara Murray, managing director of

Inspop.com, said.



Traditional insurance broking services, which offer comparative quotes

but charge consumers a fee, already exist on the web. But Inspop.com is

free to consumers and instead charges insurance companies each time a

customer requests a quote.



A teaser poster launches this week with a national TV, press and poster

campaign breaking at the beginning of April. Maher Bird, which created

the campaign, was also involved in creating the brand’s identity and

website.
