Marie Curie Cancer Care is using TV and cinema for the first time to support its annual Great Daffodil Appeal.The ad, created by DLKW Lowe, features actress Alison Steadman talking about the work Marie Curie nurses did for her mother and then asking "What does your daffodil say?" to encourage people to buy a yellow daffodil to wear.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness for the work of the charity which enables nurses to provide care to patients in their homes at the end of their life.
To mark the launch of the campaign, Trafalgar Square fountains were lit up with yellow lights. The sound studio Scramble and Pearl and Dean also time and resources to help make the film. The ad was created by Steve Boswell and directed by Jon Hollis. The production company was Nice Shirt Films.
