McCann Erickson Birmingham expands social media offer

McCann Erickson Birmingham has hired Gray Dudek as managing director of McCann-i, its digital arm, to expand its social media offering.

Dudek joins from RBH, a West Midlands-based agency, where he was digital director, working on the Land Rover global sustainability social media programme. At the same time, he headed Infegy Europe, a social media insight software company. He has also worked on the client side at Mars and Capita Group.

Dean Lovett, chief executive of McCann Erickson Central, said: "Traditional digital marketing and the emergence of social media is something a communications agency just cannot ignore, and our aim is to provide our clients with award-winning expertise that will help their businesses to grow."

Dudek will oversee the digital output for the agency. His appointment follows that of digital account director Andrew Bowyer, who joined from Clusta.
