McCann-Erickson unit buys three companies

- McCann Relationship Marketing, New York, a unit of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, has completed a shopping spree involving the acquisition of companies in Tokyo, Sydney and Madrid.

It has bought the database management company, International Systems Development, in Tokyo, and two direct marketing agencies: Direct Response, Sydney; and Common Sense, Madrid.

The three have combined billings of around $60 million. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
