The account strengthens McCann's existing relationship with the Swedish retail giant after the agency won the global account for the Ikea catalogue in August. McCann is the first global agency of record for Ikea.
McCann will be responsible for redesigning the Ikea.com site and user experience, working closely with Ikea's in-house digital team in Helsingborg and Älmhult, Sweden.
In the UK Ikea works with Mother London. The relationship is unaffected by the appointment.
