MEC's Hannah Blake joins Founders Factory

She previously led MEC Tonic, which matched the media agency’s clients with relevant start-ups for individual briefs and to solve wider business challenges.

Blake has taken on a similar remit at Founders Factory as its business development lead. She is tasked with pairing up the company’s portfolio of start-ups with its corporate backers, which include Guardian Media Group, Aviva, L’Oréal and easyJet.

Founders Factory was launched in 2014 by Lastminute.com founder Brent Hoberman, Henry Lane Fox and Jim Meyerle. It aims to launch 200 British start-ups over the next five years.

MEC’s Tonic division opened in 2015. Campaign understands the agency is seeking a replacement for Blake.
