MEDIA CHOICE: Anna Griffiths, Campaign's media editor, chooses the KitKat ad that picked up on John Prescott's recent egg-throwing saga

"While we sniggered - or frowned - at John Prescott's loose fists

on the Labour campaign trail last Wednesday, J. Walter Thompson and

MindShare wasted no time in putting together an ad for KitKat, where the

line 'Have a break, have a KitKat' took on a whole new meaning.

"Not only did the ad appear on one of the election pages of The Daily

Telegraph but it also sat below an article on the man who sparked off

the election faux pas through cracking an egg on Prescott. It was a case

of swiftly and humorously capitalising on a classic election

moment."

Client: Nestle

Medium: The Daily Telegraph

Media planning and buying: Nick Ashley and Ian Rockett at MindShare

Creative: J. Walter Thompson

Brief: Continue an ongoing strategy in communicating the "Have a break,

have a KitKat" scenario in a witty way.
