Robert Horler, the managing partner of Carat, chooses the ambient

media campaign which ran around Wembley during the England versus

Argentina match last week.

’Last Wednesday I discovered Zoofootball.com on my way to the England

versus Argentina match at Wembley. They were hard to miss - its logo was

on the side of my pint glass at The Globe. Stickers with lines such as

’I’m large and illegitimate’ or ’fair-weather fan’ were available to

slap on unsuspecting passers-by as well as being used on the wrapping

paper at the Wembley chippies.

’But my favourite was the ’pub trough footie’. In the gents’ urinals at

The Globe, a branded goalface was stuck at either end of the trough.

Midway between a small football floated. It put a whole new spin on ’pea

football’ in a campaign which added a smile to an England

performance.’
